BRIEF HISTORY
Grand Tropic Suites' Hotel was known as Mercure Hotel & Residence Slipi established in June 1996 by PT. Graha Hexindo, a child company of PT. Indonesia Prima Property, and with Accor Indonesia as pointed hotel management chain.

Mercure Hotel & Residence was the pilot project for Accor Indonesia to manage the first hotel including apartment. Mercure Hotel & Residence began to operate on August 15th 1996. After ten years experience on March 1st 2006, Mercure Hotel & Residence Slipi Jakarta changed the name to Grand Tropic Suites' Hotel & Residence Jakarta.

THE NEW GRAND TROPIC SUITES' HOTEL
After ten years of experience towards the better future, there are couple of changes we have made. From human resources development, facilities and hotel's building. The changes were made to be the frontier hotel in our class.

Begin with high dedication in better service, we improve our product quality from room, performance, guests facilities and human resource, our management commits to make changes for giving the new elegant and fresh look and environment to upgrade our guest's comfort.

The most significant changes made was the name, Mercure Hotel to GRAND TROPIC SUITES'HOTEL since March 1st 2006. The new name hope to give new motivation, freshness and improvement in every way include building the new image GRAND TROPIC SUITES' HOTEL the best hotel and service apartment in Jakarta.

In early January 2006, GRAND TROPIC SUITES' HOTEL renovated all of room types. Minimalist design is our new decoration theme, every room dominated with two colors, dark brown and white. We hope our guests comfortable to relax on the matching color sofa and upgraded luxury equipment and amenities.

All of the room types including Business Suite, Deluxe Suite, Executive Suite, Family Suite and Junior Penthouse are installed with separate living room, dining room and kitchen complete with modern kitchen set.

GRAND TROPIC SUITES' HOTEL also improved some of the facilities for our guests:

- Brand new high quality furniture, acceccories and equipment in every room.
- We used FIDELIO system for all operational activities.
- Improvement in our standart service and hospitality with professional's trained employees.

The improvement also include our internal management factor with example our Sales & Marketing Division as our frontier in the strategy to achieve high occupancy level. Not only that, other supporting divisions like front liner and housekeeping also changing their method of service to a new method which more efisien and efective to improve service quality and performance.

The new management also improved employee facilities such as new working space, work equiptment, training and new uniform for all employees. The new uniform for our Front Liners to Back of the House designed by a well-known Indonesia Fashion Designer to bring elegance in perfomance and service to our guests.

Now, with new comfort and elegance, GRAND TROPIC SUITES' HOTEL ready to give better service with professional hospitality, ethics, service and performance.

Room Facility
Grand Tropic Suites' Hotel has 198 room units with six room types, vary from one room to four rooms. Every room installed with own-kitchen (with standard kitchen set), living room, television with cable system, and air conditioner (AC).
